"There's no place like home" was our theme for this year's The Howling, the Bitter Root Humane Association's 3rd annual fundraiser.

We were honored to be awarded Best Group Costume 🏆🤩

The REAL Broker Hamilton Office showed up as [most] of the cast of Wizard of Oz with two Dorothys (because one is never enough), a Scarecrow, a Wicked Witch, a husband who identified as Toto, and a Glinda who ended up sacrificing her wand in order to cut our cake from the dessert dash 🪄🎂🤣

We were proud to sponsor a table for this event supporting the BRHA, the only animal shelter in the Bitterroot Valley.

BRHA is open admission, which means every animal that needs a door gets one.

Beyond adoptions, they run a low cost spay and neuter clinic, offer free core vaccines, keep a pet food pantry stocked for neighbors going through a hard stretch, and teach humane education across the valley.

The Howling is their signature fundraiser, and what gets raised in that room keeps the lights on and the bowls full all year long.

We help people find their way home for a living. Backing the team that does the same for the animals of Ravalli County is the easiest "yes" we make all year.

Thank you to the BRHA staff, volunteers, and every neighbor who bid, danced, and dressed up for the animals.

👀 at the grouping on that head shot 💅😝

Came across this target from one of my concealed carry qualifications while cleaning my garage today. 🎯

Not a bad reminder that I really need to make more time for som**hing I've always loved.

For those who don't know, I actually grew up in a law enforcement family. Public service was a big part of my upbringing and eventually became part of my own story.

I spent several years of my youth volunteering as a Search and Rescue Explorer with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, where I was honored to receive Explorer of the Year. That experience eventually led me to work in the probation department, followed by a separate role supervising individuals released on their own recognizance, and later becoming a correctional deputy.

Looking back at these old photos, it's funny to think about how different my life looks today.

From working in corrections to negotiating real estate contracts, raising three daughters, and living in Montana. Life certainly has a way of taking you places you never anticipated.

But a lot of what I learned along the way has stayed with me. Situational awareness, accountability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. All things that have served me well in real estate, too.

And somewhere along the way, shooting went from som**hing I regularly enjoyed to som**hing I rarely make time for anymore.

I genuinely love shooting. The concentration, the discipline, the challenge of maintaining proficiency. There's som**hing satisfying about practicing a skill and seeing the results.

Apparently, cleaning the garage was the reminder I needed to get back out there more often. 😉

And speaking of shooting, does anyone remember the Babes and Bullets events that Bob Ward's used to put on?

Those were hands down some of my FAVORITE events!

Does anyone know if they've made a comeback or if there's anything similar happening around Montana these days? I'd love to hear about it!

It's that time of year again. 🛒

🍁 Our office (REAL Broker at 109 E Main Streetin Hamilton, Montana) sits in the same parking lot as Safeway, so filling a Thanksgiving "basket" of groceries takes about as long as your coffee stays hot.

🦃 Grab a few groceries, walk them across the lot, and drop them at Real Broker Hamilton, 109 E Main Street, right next to the Chamber of Commerce.

Some deals take 20 days. This one took a few years + 20 days 🤩

A while back, this sweet family and I went under contract on their first home. Then the m**h test came back so high we walked away. Right call. Hard day. You remember it, right Cameron Home Inspections | Western MT Property Evaluations 🫠🙃

They bought a For Sale By Owner property on their own, sold it, and then called me back for their first official real estate purchase, which included acreage.

We were proud to represent them as buyers. We wrote the offer, and 20 days later they had keys to a new to them home and 2.34 acres in Hamilton.

This took a village. Right after we went under contract, I left the country for 10 days. My team agent, Tony Martignoni, carried this deal like it was his own. I couldn’t have done it without him. Angela LaQue at Hamilton Mortgage Services was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish with this process as well.

The honorable mention goes to our youngest client, who kept herself busy at the signing by peeling every crayon in the building. We do whatever it takes to get it across the finish line. Even if it costs us the whole box. 🖍🤣

Welcome home, friends. Go make some memories on that land. 🏡
