My dad got me this door for my birthday. I’m going to paint it coral rose like my other exterior doors.
This door is going to go on the side of my garage that you can access from the patio. It’s had chicken wire and a blanket affixed to it for the past 2+ years and we’re finally closing up this here loose end.
As I’ve stated before, once I moved into the house and began living here full time it no longer seemed like my canvas but rather my enclosure. It’s hard to see it for the work of art that it is when my daughter and dog are constantly tearing it apart.
At the time of undergoing the renovation I was so involved with the renovations, working, Ophelia & life that I didn’t really share the content I captured the way that I wanted to. I felt I had so much more for everyone to see and know about my project.
Well it all seems like a blessing in disguise because only now can I share how all of these updates have evolved over time. Only now can I share what selections I regret, or don’t, because of how they didn’t work out the way I had hoped, or vice versa.
So I’m now working tirelessly this summer to organize all of that content and piece it together, along with the current status of the space, to bring the full picture to light.
Life as a house.
I’ve spent so much time on this one. It was never meant to be my house forever, but it’s my home right now. Maybe one day I will make it a rental or sell it, but until then I’m going to keep pouring what I can into it.
Seeing a space everyday that I brought to life is surreal.
