If there’s one thing May reminded me, it’s that every closing has a completely different story behind it.

One family sold their home so they could head to Georgia and start building the retirement home they’ve always dreamed about.

Another made a military move and started preparing for their next chapter.

On the buying side, one investor picked up a property that’s projected to bring in over $800 a month in positive cash flow. Another family found a place to call home. And one buyer took on a downtown Charleston renovation that will eventually become their dream house.

Five closings. Five different goals. Five families taking the next step toward something they’ve been working toward.

That’s one of my favorite parts of this job. No two stories are ever the same.

Real estate rarely looks polished behind the scenes 😅

Most days it’s answering calls in parking lots, sending texts while accidentally blocking sidewalks, voice noting between showings, or running through a grocery store while negotiating inspections at the same time.

But honestly, that’s part of it.

When someone’s moving to Charleston, selling a home they’ve loved for years, or trying to make a huge life decision with a million moving pieces attached to it, I care a lot about getting every detail right.

So if you see me working from the most random places possible, just know there’s probably a client somewhere getting a little closer to home 😉

One thing about me? I’m never going to push someone into a house just because it’s available.

Some of the best client decisions happen when we *don’t* move forward.

Anyone can open doors.

Caught me listening to my favorite kind of voicemail lately.

The kind where someone says they’re ready to trade snow shovels for sunset walks, cold mornings for coffee runs in the Charleston sun, and “someday” for actually starting fresh here.

So naturally, we checked the archives. Turns out I’ve been helping people find homes since the caveman era.

Starter caves, historic Charleston homes, waterfront properties, first homes, move-up homes, downsizing moves, relocation clients… at this point, I’ve seen just about everything.
