Cooler temps are on the way, and your heating system needs a little attention before they arrive:

🔲 Book a furnace tune-up now — HVAC techs get slammed once it's cold, so schedule early
🔲 Swap out the furnace filter — affects air quality and efficiency
🔲 Test every carbon monoxide detector in the house
🔲 When the heat first fires up for the season, give it a sniff — gas odors mean call the gas company immediately
🔲 Make sure nothing is blocking baseboard heaters or registers

Today is a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out all at once.

Sometimes taking care of yourself looks like stepping outside for some fresh air, putting your phone away for a little while, talking with someone you trust, or simply giving yourself permission to rest.

And just as we check in on the people around us, let’s remember to ask, “How are you really doing?” You never know how much that simple question might mean to someone.
