Building a home from the ground up is no small undertaking! There are so many decisions to make along the way and these buyers truly thought of everything!

It was so much fun watching it all come together and they did such an amazing job with every detail. The finished home is absolutely beautiful! 🏡❤️

One of the biggest concerns I hear from homeowners who are thinking about moving is, “How do I sell my house when I still need somewhere to live?”

And it’s a really good question!

Buying first can feel safer because you know where you’re going, but it can also mean carrying two homes if your current house takes longer to sell.

Selling first gives you more certainty financially and can put you in a stronger position when you make an offer, but it takes some planning to make the timing work.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. A lot depends on your finances, your current home, where you’re hoping to move, and how much flexibility you have.

If moving has been on your mind but the logistics are holding you back, I’m always happy to talk through what it could look like.

🏡 Thinking about buying a home this fall?

According to Realtor.com, the week of September 27–October 3 is expected to be the best week of 2026 to buy a home nationally, based on the overall combination of inventory, prices, competition, time on market and price reductions.

Here on the South Shore, inventory has improved compared with recent years, giving buyers more choices, but desirable, well-priced homes can still attract strong competition.

Fall can still bring some advantages for buyers. There may be less competition than during the busy spring and summer months, homes that have been on the market longer may offer more room for negotiation, and buyers can often have a little more time to make decisions.

Of course, the “best” time to buy is really when the right home, price and monthly payment come together for you.
