One of the most popular activities at Glenmoore is Beanbag Baseball!

Our residents love the friendly competition, and the playful smack talk between teams is all part of the fun! Every so often, we travel to another Hawthorn community for an exciting matchup, or we welcome them to Glenmoore for a home game. No matter where we play, it's always filled with laughter, teamwork, and great memories.

Last week, our Glenmoore residents enjoyed a wonderful adventure in Vancouver, WA!

Our first stop was The Cave, where the current exhibition celebrates the work of local Native 2SLGBTQ+ artists. Since we arrived before the gallery opened, we made the most of our time by visiting a nearby local shop, where a few residents discovered some delicious avocado smoothies!

After taking in the inspiring art, we headed to Who Song & Larry's for a tasty Mexican lunch and great conversation. From exploring local culture to sharing a wonderful meal, it was a day full of smiles, new experiences, and lasting memories!

Yesterday at Glenmoore, our residents were treated to another unforgettable performance by The Angels!

Throughout the year, The Angels bring so much joy with their fun, interactive singing and dancing performances. Their energy, humor, and enthusiasm are contagious, and they always encourage residents to get up, dance, sing along, and be part of the fun. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and connections these performances create is truly one of the highlights of our community.

On Wednesday, July 29, our residents here at Glenmoore Gracious enjoyed a wonderful day out with lunch at Pietro's Pizza followed by a relaxing visit to the beautiful Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in Portland! 🌿

While the rhododendrons weren't in bloom, the gardens were still full of natural beauty, with a variety of colorful flowers, lush greenery, and peaceful walking paths to explore. Along the way, we spotted plenty of wildlife, including cranes, ducks, nutria, and even a double-crested cormorant!

From picturesque bridges and tranquil waterfalls to charming fountains and scenic walkways, it was the perfect day to enjoy nature, fresh air, and great company. Everyone had a fantastic time making memories together!

Events are a lot of work for our team, but we do it for the genuine love of our residents and extended family. Wednesday Outing Day we were headed for a beautiful picnic at Dunaway Park & Lilac Garden and was rained out - instead we turned lemons into lemonade! 'Indoor Picnic" at Lloyd Center Shopping Mall. Lloyd Center has been an landmark for most of Oregonians and sadly, it will close its doors this summer. Residents shared many stories over picnic lunch about coming to the mall with their children, family & friends over the years.
