HomeGoods, the popular off-price home decor and furnishings retailer, is expanding its footprint in the Rio Grande Valley with a new location headed to Harlingen.

State filings reveal plans for a $150,000 commercial renovation project located at 2721 W. Expressway 83. The expansive 25,213-square-foot project involves exterior alterations to an existing retail building to seamlessly prepare the space for the incoming tenant. This new store will provide Cameron County shoppers with a massive new destination for discounted furniture, rugs, kitchenware, and seasonal decor, joining the vibrant retail corridor right along the expressway.

Work on the new Harlingen HomeGoods was scheduled to officially kick off yesterday on October 1, 2026, targeting a quick turnaround with completion expected early next year by January 15, 2027.

Jamba and Auntie Anne's, the popular dual-branded concept combining fresh blended fruit smoothies and acai bowls with signature fresh-baked pretzels and dips, is expanding into South Texas with a new Rio Grande Valley location in Harlingen.

State filings reveal plans for a commercial finish-out located at 6102 West Expressway 83. The incoming smoothie and pretzel shop is setting up within the Dilworth Shopping Center, a new retail strip center positioned at the busy Expressway 83 and Dilworth Road interchange, bringing two highly requested national snack and beverage brands to the local market under one roof.

The 1,980-square-foot project involves a complete interior build-out for the new co-branded beverage and snack concept. The scope of work encompasses the construction of interior partitions, the installation of the customer ordering counter, custom millwork, suspended ceilings, and all the necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure to support both the smoothie prep and pretzel baking stations.

Construction on the new Jamba and Auntie Anne's was scheduled to kick off earlier this month on September 17, 2026, targeting a completion early next year by January 31, 2027.
