You most likely have heard the warnings about title theft being on the rise. Both Dauphin and Cumberland Counties have established title monitoring notification services. It is not a bad idea to sign up for these services for real estate you own in those counties. Unfortunately, the notification will only come after the change has been recorded but at least you'll be notified immediately after the change instead of finding out about it through unfortunate events in the future.
