It's solicitor and peddler season.

The Raymore Police Department provides free No Peddlers, No Solicitors stickers for Raymore residents. Pick one up at the Raymore Police Station, located on the south/lower side of Raymore City Hall at 100 Municipal Cir. The station entrance is open all hours.

RULES:
- Permits required: All solicitors and peddlers must obtain a permit from the Raymore Police Department and display their permit at all times.
- Canvassers (those not selling anything or collecting donations) do not need a permit.
- Exempt from permits: Students fundraising for educational programs or non-profits, such as Girl Scouts or school coupon card sales.
- Everyone must respect private property and leave if there is any reason to believe they are not welcome.
- No peddling, soliciting or canvassing is allowed within Raymore city limits before 9 a.m or after 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
- No peddling, soliciting or canvassing is allowed on Sundays.

REMINDER: CASS COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation Kansas City (MoDOT KC) will hold an open house style meeting to discuss safety improvements on MO J in Cass County. Improvements to safety on this project include resurfacing from MO 58 south to I-49, widening at the intersections of 195th St. and 203rd St., turn lane additions at 211th St. and Lucy Webb Rd., and the construction of a roundabout at Hubach Hill Rd. This project will also include the replacement of various culverts and drainage pipes in the project area.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm at Raymore-Peculiar High School located at 20801 S School Rd, Peculiar, MO 64078.

The meeting will provide the opportunity for attendees to ask questions, learn more about the project, and leave a comment.

The meeting will be an open house meeting with no formal presentation. Following the public meeting there will also be an opportunity to view project displays and exhibits and leave comments on the project webpage beginning at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 19 until 4:30 pm on Tuesday, June 2.

FYI: Mill and overlay work starts Monday, May 11, 2026, on North Madison Street and Gore Road.

North Madison will receive mill, patch and overlay work from 155th Street to 163rd Street.

Gore Road will receive the same work from North Madison Street to Kurzweil Road.

The schedule is dependent on weather and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

The streets will remain open during construction. As always, slow down and use extra caution around workers and equipment.
