John Bassette has over 36 years' experience as a real estate broker in the Woodstock Vermont area and neighboring New Hampshire. In the "Dark Ages" John was appointed to the US Ski Team and was the United States National Ski Jumping Champion (1978). He has been inducted into the US Ski Hall of Fame. He skied in the Lake Placid Olympics as the lead test jumper (bad day at the trials) to make sure the hills were "safe" (read DANGEROUS)! John actively "gives back" locally and has served on the Woodstock Ski Runners Board, been a Track Coach at WUHS, and is on the Race Committee for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports – VT100 Ultra-Marathon. John is an extremely involved father of nine (9) with his lovely wife Donna-Lee and lives in Hartland Vermont. He is a fanatical skier who "loves speed", is training for the Vermont 100 Ultra-Marathon (and recently finished the Vermont 50 Ultra-Marathon). Over his long career in VT & NH real estate, John has successfully guided clients through hundreds of real estate transactions. He has his Graduate Realtor Institute Certification (GRI), his Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), and is an exceptional client-based negotiator. John earned his BA-Psychology starting at Middlebury College and finished at the University of Vermont.
