Breathe Safe Testing completed a visual mold inspection with air testing for a client. This home already had another inspector complete air testing without a thorough inspection. During our inspection, a UV light was used which found mold staining on the ceiling rafters. The mold found could only be seen with the help of the UV light. A tape lift sample was taken and confirmed multiple types of mold with high spore counts on the ceiling rafters. Pictured below are some of the mold photos along with a few of the tools we use to assist with our inspections.

This picture was taken during one of our inspections. A large mirror was secured to this wall. The adhesive used to secure the mirror is chrysotile asbestos. The plaster was also tested with no asbestos detected.

Post mold remediation clearance testing completed by Breathe Safe. Visible mold was found during an inspection. Client hired a mold professional to remediate. Breathe Safe Testing confirmed that the remediation was handled properly and that all mold levels are acceptable.

This home built in 1956 tested positive for asbestos in the joint compound and the spackle. This was positive for 3-4% chrysotile asbestos.

Contractor contacted Breathe Safe after they found damaged flooring after a water damage. The floor tile and mastic adhesive tested positive for asbestos.
