FRANK AND FRAN'S HATTERAS ISLAND FISHING REPORT - 9/23/2026

Despite the rough water and heavy wind, we still had some reports today. We heard of drum caught out there, along with a few blues. The wind is going to continue to get a little stronger overnight into tomorrow. Congrats to Mike on his drum caught today on his brand-new Nick's Custom Rods CTS 1305!

We had a little bit of water come over the dunes during tonight's high tide, but the crews were working on the road non-stop today and kept most of it at bay. We'll see what tomorrow morning's tide brings, and as always, keep an eye on NCDOT NC 12 for road closure updates and https://www.drivenc.gov/ for live camera footage of 12.

We have fresh mullet in, so if you want to brave the weather, we've got you covered on bait and whatever else you need! Open 6am-9pm
