PLANNED OVERNIGHT WATER SERVICE OUTAGE | Monday, July 27

The City of Hattiesburg will temporarily interrupt water service beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, July 27, for customers along North 25th Avenue between Pearl Street and West Seventh Street, and portions of North 26th Avenue. This interruption will allow crews to work on a water main in the area.

Water service is expected to be restored by 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 28.

Because the planned outage will result in a loss of water pressure, the City will issue a self-imposed boil water notice for affected customers once service is restored. Residents should boil water for one minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or making ice until the notice is lifted.

Affected customers will be notified when the boil water notice is no longer in effect. The attached map outlines the anticipated outage area.
