I do not run. I have never run. (I run around in my car all day showing houses, which I'm told doesn't count.)
But Wednesday, June 3 is Global Running Day, so I asked Hattiesburg where to spend it — and the answer came back unanimous: the Longleaf Trace.
44 paved miles from Hattiesburg to Prentiss, under 5% grade, water and restrooms every four miles, and it's free. I put together a guide for every kind of runner — a quick mile from the Cartlidge Gateway, a food stop at Jamba Jollof right on the path, a shaded stretch out at Jackson Road Station (Jed's bikes + coffee right there), or a destination run all the way to a burger at the Sumrall Depot.
