The Fieldhouse for the Homeless - 5712 US Hwy 49 S

The Fieldhouse for the Homeless - 5712 US Hwy 49 S WE ARE THE FIELDHOUSE FOR THE HOMELESS. WE MEET THE PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE!! The Fieldhouse is a turning point, a central source of life-changing care.

WE ARE A GOD CENTERED DAY, NIGHT AND EMERGENCY SHELTER OPPERATING IN THE HATTIESBURG MISSISSIPPI AREA SINCE OCTOBER 2008. We will provide escape from heat or cold, a place to rest, access to bathrooms, to laundry, showers, job search, health screenings, housing assistance, ID assistance and other services home-less men and women need to escape life on the street. There are harrowing, personal stories of the street life of the homeless. We have taken an unflinching look at the human experience of homelessness and we are responding by opening The Fieldhouse Day Resource Center. Our goal is to make homelessness a season of life, not a way of life.

What an AMAZING blessing! ❤️🙏

Coaltown Church of Purvis blessed The Fieldhouse with lots of smiles, great food, and awesome filled purses for the ladies! We had such a wonderful time fellowshipping, laughing, sharing, and enjoying one another.

But as we began talking and getting to know one another, we discovered something that touched our hearts deeply. Their church had been destroyed by a storm just FOUR months ago. Yet, here they were—standing in the midst of their own rebuilding and choosing to come serve, encourage, and bless us.

WOW. AMAZING! 🙌🏽❤️

That is what true love and compassion look like. They didn't allow what they had been through to stop them from being a blessing to someone else.

Coaltown Church, thank you for showing up with love in your hearts, smiles on your faces, food in your hands, and blessings for our ladies. You reminded us that sometimes the people who are rebuilding themselves can still help rebuild someone else.

We are grateful for you and thankful that God connected our paths. The Fieldhouse was truly blessed by Coaltown Church of Purvis!

❤️ Thank you for serving. Thank you for loving. Thank you for blessing.

What a beautiful reminder: We may be going through a storm, but God can still use us to be a blessing in someone else's storm. 🙏🏽❤️

My Change Has Finally Come
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING… BUT MY CHANGE HAS FINALLY COME! 😭🙌🏽🏠❤️

TODAY, I GOT THE KEYS TO MY APARTMENT.

I don't think everyone will understand what this moment means to me.

To some people, it may look like I'm simply moving into an apartment. I

But to me…

I'M WALKING INTO A MIRACLE.

For more than a year, I experienced homelessness. A year of uncertainty. A year of wondering where I would sleep, where my next meal would come from, and what my future would look like.

And in the middle of that journey, I suffered a MAJOR STROKE.

My life changed in a moment.

There were days when I wondered if I would ever get back to the life I once knew. There were days when I was tired—not just physically tired, but tired in my spirit.

I had moments when I cried.

Moments when I questioned.

Moments when I didn't understand why God would allow me to go through so much.

But even when I couldn't see a way out…

GOD WAS MAKING A WAY.

Even when I felt forgotten…

GOD HAD NOT FORGOTTEN ME.

Even when I couldn't see my next step…

GOD WAS ALREADY ORDERING MY STEPS.

And today, I stand here with tears in my eyes because I can finally say:

I'M HOME.

😭🏠😭🏠😭

These keys represent so much more than a place to live.

They represent RESTORATION.

They represent DIGNITY.

They represent HOPE.

They represent ANOTHER CHANCE.

They represent every prayer I prayed when nobody else could hear me.

Every tear I cried when nobody else saw me.

Every time I wanted to give up but somehow found the strength to keep going.

GOD KEPT ME.

I don't know why He chose to bring me through this particular journey.

But I know this:

I AM STILL HERE.

The stroke didn't take me out.

Homelessness didn't take me out.

The hard days didn't take me out.

The disappointment didn't take me out.

GOD SAID, "NOT YET."

And now I understand why.

Because there was another chapter waiting for me.

There was another testimony waiting to be told.

There was a door God was preparing to open.

And today…

I WALKED THROUGH THAT DOOR. 🚪🏠

I can finally put my belongings down and say,

"THIS IS MY HOME."

I can close my own door.

I can lay my head down tonight knowing where I'm going to sleep.

And I don't take one second of that for granted.

😭❤️

If you've ever been in a season where you couldn't see your way out, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP.

If you're waiting on God, KEEP WAITING.

If you're crying, KEEP PRAYING.

If you're tired, REST—but DON'T QUIT.

Your current situation is not the end of your story.

Sometimes God allows you to walk through a valley so that when He brings you to the mountaintop, YOU WILL KNOW WHO BROUGHT YOU THERE.

And today, I KNOW.

IT WAS GOD.

I didn't get here because I was strong enough.

I got here because HE WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO CARRY ME.

I didn't make it because I had all the answers.

I made it because GOD KEPT MAKING A WAY.

So today, I'm not ashamed of where I've been.

I'm grateful for where I am.

And I'm excited about where God is taking me.

FROM HOMELESSNESS TO HOME.

FROM BROKENNESS TO RESTORATION.

FROM SURVIVING TO LIVING.

FROM TEARS TO TESTIMONY.

FROM "GOD, WHEN?" TO "GOD, THANK YOU!"

🙌🏽😭🙌🏽😭🙌🏽

MY CHANGE HAS FINALLY COME.

I'M HOME.

And if you don't mind…

LET ME PRAISE GOD FOR A MINUTE.

Because after everything I've been through…

I'M STILL HERE.

And that, all by itself, is a reason to give God glory.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY.

🙏🏽❤️🏠 THIS IS MY TESTIMONY.
