25 years ago, I moved to Northern Virginia and got my real estate license.

I didn’t know anyone. I barely knew the area. I had no business background, no network, no database, and honestly, no idea what I was doing.

Somehow, by the grace of God, I built a career.

Over the years, that career became a business. I became a broker. I built a property management company. I’ve helped hundreds of people buy, sell, invest, and move into the next chapter of their lives.

And when I look back now, I realize how little of the road I could actually see when I started.

I didn’t have a master plan. I just kept taking the next step in front of me.

Twenty-five years later, I’m still here. Still learning. Still growing. Still doing work I love. And incredibly grateful for all of the people who have trusted me along the way.

I couldn’t see where I was going.

But then again, I was never asked to. I was asked to walk by faith, not by sight.

I recently closed on my first investment property. 🏡

And I’m honestly just overwhelmed with gratitude.

When I first started thinking about investing in real estate for myself, I was scared.

You’d think that being in real estate for over 25 years and being the owner of a property management company, this move would have happened sooner. But I was too afraid. I’m a single mom with a commission-only income, and for a long time, that made me feel like I needed to hold tightly to what I had rather than take a risk on something more.

But year after year, God has been faithful. And somewhere along the way, I realized that I had gotten to a place where I could trust the consistency of what I had built and finally take the leap.

So I started learning. I researched. I watched videos. I asked a million questions. I talked to people who knew more than I did. And little by little, what felt scary started feeling possible.

I’m incredibly grateful to Scott Jacobs and Jacobs & Co. Real Estate for encouraging me to think bigger and giving me the confidence to do this. I’m grateful for Erin Kokoshkin and so many other people in my life who have rallied around me, answered questions, encouraged me, and helped me get here.

And most of all, I’m grateful to God. Because I know exactly where I started, and I know I didn’t get here by myself.

The really beautiful part is that this isn’t just an investment. It’s going to be someone’s home. And I can’t wait to see who God brings through that door and how He might allow me to bless someone else with something He first blessed me with.
