🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY ALERT 🚨
The Hayti Police Department has experienced a significant increase in reports of vehicle break-ins, vehicle thefts, and fi****ms being stolen from unsecured vehicles.
You can help protect yourself and your property by taking a few simple precautions:
🔒 Always lock your vehicle, even if you're only leaving it unattended for a few minutes.
🔑 Never leave your keys inside your vehicle, even for a brief moment. Vehicle thefts are on the rise again, and thieves often take advantage of opportunities that only take seconds.
🚫 Do not leave fi****ms, wallets, purses, cash, electronics, or other valuables inside your vehicle. If possible, take them with you or secure them in a safe location.
💡 Park in well-lit areas whenever possible and ensure your vehicle is secured before walking away.
👀 Stay vigilant. If you observe suspicious persons or activity in your neighborhood, report it immediately. Your call could prevent a crime from occurring.
🚔 You may notice an increased police presence throughout the City of Hayti during the overnight hours. If you see bright spotlights or patrol vehicles in your neighborhood, our officers are conducting proactive patrols and property checks to help deter criminal activity and keep our community safe.
📞 If you see something, say something. Don't wait until it's too late. Report suspicious activity to the Hayti Police Department immediately, or call 911 if it is an emergency.
