Beginning later this Spring we are needing cleaning subcontractors (not employees) who are honest, reliable, and detail-oriented to help us with cleaning Vacation Rental properties within the Hayward, Stone Lake, and Trego areas. Experience preferred but not necessary. Days needed could include any day of the week in the Spring, Fall and Winter; summer days will be Fridays, Saturdays, and possibly Sundays, from 10 am to 3 pm. Starting pay is $18/ hour, with opportunities for advancement… please reach out if interested and motivated!

Summer is finally here up in Northern Wisconsin! Hurray! (Although I would have liked a bit more of Spring first :->)
We have been busy getting all of our vacation rental properties ready for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, and really appreciate our amazing subcontractors who assist us in that process! This pictured dock needed to be put in quickly, as the owner thought it had already been put in- but when we arrived there, it was not yet in :-( We did not want to disappoint the incoming renters, so we REALLY appreciated the fact that Jeff with Riverwood Property Management out of Hayward was able to come on short notice and put it in before they arrived! Thanks again Jeff!

One of our favorite things to do is to "save" old cabins, and then bring them to their highest "elegant woodsy" potential... this one on LCO was built in the 1920's and will be ready soon to be shared with vacation rental groups this summer! Last Saturday... What a beautiful, thrilling day! The weather was perfect for the Birkie ski race, and so much of the world was there… How thrilling to see all of the flags of the different countries, and to watch skiers finish downtown, while hearing so many languages being spoken! It made me proud that our business, Lake Wind Inc., is a part of Hayward, and that we were able to help 10 different family groups stay here in one of our vacation rental properties in the Hayward area for an amazing race weekend! ☺️

We are excited to be adding another 3 vacation rental lake properties to our "stable" of lake properties.... we LOVE helping folks make some good income on their lake homes by sharing them with others 😊 We will be painting this kitchen wall, and adding a nice wood mantel and tile surround to the fire place, along with staging it in a more woodsy, cozy manner... it will be ready this Spring to rent- a wonderful getaway on a beautiful NW WI lake! (We LOVE helping other folks have amazing vacations too! ☺️)

Does anyone remember playing with Lincoln Logs? ☺️ We are really looking forward to reconstructing this log cabin... and are wanting to add another log home to our "stable" of vacation rental homes that we manage... in the meantime, we are spending time taking the cabin down, loading the logs on to a huge truck that a friend of ours is loaning to us (thanks John!) and then rebuilding it! Good thing we have marked the logs! ☺️ Then we can look forward to finding unique Antique pieces with which to fill it! We really enjoy creating that feeling of "rustic elegance" that we try to impart to all of "our" lake homes/cabins....

It was a beautiful day for a gardening break! 😊 Neal and I took part of the day getting our vegetable beds ready... it was a nice break from getting all of our vacation rental cabins ready for the upcoming summer season! ☺️

It was -22 degrees this morning 😬 so Neal and I had to try that infamous experiment of throwing boiling water into the air... and yes, it DID freeze/crystallize in the air before it hit the ground! Now we are going back in to spend the day by the fire! 🔥 (Unless we get called to respond to an emergency at one of our vacation rental cabins that we manage... then out we'll go again!) Ah, gotta love Northwestern Wisconsin! 👍🌲☺️
