Fannie Mae just released their May forecast, and the takeaway is pretty clear: mortgage rates are staying in the 6% range for a while. That doesn't mean the market is frozen though. Home sales are actually projected to tick up this year, and inventory is still tight, which means serious buyers and sellers are still making moves.
