The Hardest Conversation I Have With Sellers “But we put so much into this house.”

I hear some version of that from sellers all the time, and they’re usually right.

The remodeled kitchen. The pool. The landscaping. The improvements made over 10, 15 or 20 years. And then there are the things you can’t put a price on: the holidays, the family dinners, the kids growing up, the memories.

All of that has value.

But when it comes time to sell, there’s a difficult reality: a buyer doesn’t value your home through the same lens you do.

After nearly 30 years in real estate, helping sellers navigate the space between personal value and market value is still one of the most important…and delicate…parts of my job.
