Are you tired of paying off someone else’s mortgage yet?!?😤

A common phrase in the real estate world is “Marry the home, date the rate”.
When buying a home, you can’t simply swap it out for a different one with ease. But you CAN refinance your mortgage once interest rates drop and lower your monthly payment.
If buying a home now is in budget and you are comfortable with the monthly payment then it probably makes sense! It is very rare for a monthly payment to increase, but it is common to decrease with a refi!

Granted, there are times where renting is the best option for you and your family. However, there are SO many options as a home owner that don’t exist as a renter.
One option you may not know…
Househacking: purchase a home and rent out spare rooms to cover your mortgage. This means you live for free AND you are building equity!

It’s officially fall! 🍁🍃
Here are a few home maintenance items to keep your home on tip top shape!
-Change your HVAC air filter
-Change the direction of your ceiling fans to move the warm air from the ceiling to the floor
-Clean out gutters during the leaf shedding period or install gutter guards
-Clean window sills inside and out
-Check the exterior of your windows to ensure the caulking is intact and re-caulk if needed
-Have your chimney cleaned
-Cover lawn furniture or bring it inside when not in use
-Drain your garden hose and detach it from the hose spigot to prevent freezing
-Cut your grass shorter to lengthen mow periods
