OFFICE CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Melissa Gentry, founder, and beloved family member, who left us today after a long and couragous health battle. Melissa’s strength, vision, and heart have shaped not only our company but also the many communities we have had the privilege of serving.

In honor of her life and to support our team during this time of morning our office will be closed for the remainder of the week.

We appreciate your understanding and kindness as we take this time to grieve and remember someone so dear to is.

Hill Country Homeowners recently coordinated a Safety Walk with members of the SAPD, the Braunridge HOA Board of Directors and members of the Braunridge community. The Public Safety Walk gave residents a chance to identify safety concerns and quality of life issues affecting the neighborhood. It also provided law enforcement with first-hand information to better assist the community. Thanks to all who participated!

Rochelle Selvey and Clint Kastner of Hill Country Homeowners recently visited the SAPD Prue Road Substation with armfuls of Hill Country Homeowner donations for the SAPD Blue Santa toy drive! As night fell on Christmas Eve 1976, San Antonio police officer, Tom Preston and his fellow officers began what would become another warm tradition of giving in our city. Preston knew of several families who could not afford toys under their tree. That is, if they had a tree at all. With their own money, they purchased and distributed toys to underprivileged boys and girls who would not soon forget the day a police officer became their personal Santa. Years later, as the project drew the interest of more and more officers, someone suggested that Preston dress up as Santa himself. A navy outfit was tailored and San Antonio's Blue Santa was born! The Sagewood Homeowners Association recently held their annual Holiday Decorating Contest. Five winners were announced with the winning entry receiving a $100 Gift Card. The homeowners of Sagewood went all out to make their community sparkle this holiday season. Thanks to all who participated in this years contest!

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday Hill Country Homeowners chose SAMMinistries to receive donations gifted from HCHAM team members and our Helping Hands project. The Hill Country family collected recipes and all the supplies needed to create six meals for the SAMMinsitries Recipe in a Pot program. These supplies, food and gift cards were gifted to families transitioning from homelessness into housing this holiday. SAMMinistries is an interfaith ministry whose mission is to help the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless here in San Antonio.
