49 Years in Real Estate — What a Journey! 🏡❤️

49 years ago today, I quit my job at a local bank and embarked on a journey I have never regretted!

I went from earning $657 a month as a bank teller to working for a local broker selling real estate. At almost 21 years old, I loved the freedom of the business and the opportunity to determine my own worth through the effort I put in.

After nearly four years, I joined the already iconic CENTURY 21 brand in June 1981. I worked hard, played hard, and loved the excitement of becoming a top-producing agent. I was competitive and driven—and a little ego isn’t necessarily a bad thing in this business! 😉

In 2000, I became the Broker of CENTURY 21 McDaniel & Associates, and my focus shifted from my own success to helping others achieve theirs. Hiring, training, encouraging, and watching agents succeed became one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Their successes truly became some of my greatest highlights.

At the end of 2020, I sold the business and began another chapter. Today, I have the pleasure of getting back to what I’ve always loved most—working with clients I enjoy and helping them with their real estate needs.

Looking back over 49 years, I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who trusted me, the agents and colleagues who worked alongside me, the community that supported us, and especially the friendships made along the way. To all of you who have been part of this journey—whether you’re still out there selling real estate or life has taken you in a completely different direction—I hope we shared some great experiences and made some wonderful memories together.
