The deadline is Thursday, Nov. 21 to suggest a name for Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District's planned 34-acre park to be located on Olive Avenue, one mile west of Wi******er Road/Highway 79, in Wi******er.
We invite you to submit your park name ideas by completing and submitting a Naming of District Facilities form. Copies are available at the District Office located at 901 W. Esplanade Avenue, San Jacinto, the Francis Domenigoni Community Center, 32665 Haddock Street, Wi******er, or at gorecreation.org. Forms must be returned by November 21, 2024.
All fully completed forms will be reviewed by the Valley-Wide Board of Directors and shall be considered in determining the facility name.

We're quickly approaching this year's annual Christmas Parade! 🎄

This year's Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., followed by Christmas in the Park at Weston Park! This year's parade theme: A Star-Spangled Christmas 🇺🇸🎄

The route remains the same as last year's, beginning on Gilbert St./Florida Ave. and ending on Santa Fe St./Florida Ave.

To participate in the parade, fill out an application at www.hemetca.gov/ParadeApp

Parade Applications are due by Tuesday, November 25. Early submissions are encouraged as spots are quickly filling up.

We are getting closer to Valley-Wide's 36th annual Turkey Trot Family Fun Run and we want you to join us.
The Turkey Trot will take place Saturday, Nov. 23 at Diamond Valley Lake Community Park. It begins at 9 a.m. with a toddlers' Gobble Trot followed by the 1K at 9:15, 5K walk at 9:30 and 5K at 10 a.m. Medals and prizes will be awarded in nine age groups. Early registration fees range from $7 to $10. Fees increase on race day.
The race will be dedicated to Jack Warneke, who passed away in March at 92 years old. Jack ran in all 35 of the previous races. The morning will include a short ceremony to honor Jack.
