Henderson parents! Check out this new peer-peer tutoring app from the City of Henderson:
The City of Henderson is funding the use of CircleIn, a peer-to-peer tutoring application, at 10 public schools during the upcoming academic year as part of the City’s ongoing commitment to education and application of ‘smart city’ initiatives.
Henderson-based CircleIn is an online community where students help students through the use of a smartphone app. Students can ask for help with their homework in real time from their classmates, upload and share their notes, work on group projects and participate in group study sessions through the CircleIn app. CircleIn uses rewards to encourage high-performing students to volunteer as tutors and collect points toward scholarships and gift cards and also earn community service hours for college applications.
The 10 Henderson public schools selected to participate in the program are Bob Miller Middle School, Coral Academy Sandy Ridge, Coronado High School, Greenspun Junior High School, Green Valley High School, Liberty High School, Thurman White Middle School, Pinecrest Cadence, Pinecrest Inspirada and Pinecrest St. Rose.
