It’s always sad when a dog gets returned, but we feel that everything happens for a reason. Adopting a dog is work and not everyone wants to put that work into them. We are sad for Linda but realize we have a second chance to find her the best home. Linda was a volunteer favorite when with us. She had many roommates and did great with everyone including puppies and adult dogs. Linda was great with people of all ages including kids. We were told she didn’t pay any attention to the kitties when she was at the shelter. Linda has done good with her k9 brother In the home. She has been using the doggie door to go potty outside and has not had an accident. Linda is escaping the fenced-in yard, and the new owner does not have interest in finding out how she’s getting out or how to fix it so Linda is searching for a new home. Her paperwork says she’s a Terrier mix, but we think she’s a Mountain Feist mix and at just 28 pounds and one year old the perfect size for any adventure. Linda is a happy girl that deserves someone who will give her the best life. She’s been let down by humans her whole life and needs someone who will love her. Want to meet Linda? For years, this sweet pit bull possessed a gentle side that caught everyone by surprise. While other dogs focused on chasing balls or guarding their yards, he chose a completely different path—he absolutely adored cats. He would sit softly beside them, follow them quietly around the house, and rest his head near them as if they were his very own family.

Yet, there was one milestone he had never experienced: kittens. When the day finally came for him to meet those tiny, wobbly, squeaky little balls of fluff, something truly incredible happened. Instead of bursting with excitement or engaging in rough play, he instantly became calm, deeply protective, and incredibly careful. He lowered his massive frame down to their exact level, moved with absolute deliberation, and watched over them like a devoted guardian.

The very breed that some people unfairly fear became the gentlest, most tender presence in the entire room. True love isn't dictated by a breed label; it is entirely about the heart. Sometimes, the most powerful protectors come wrapped in the softest, sweetest souls. 🐾
