The City of Henderson is launching the Stephanie Street Waterline and Infrastructure Improvement Project. Starting this July, work will begin along Stephanie St. between Galleria Dr. and Wigwam Pkwy. This is required, non-elective construction work. The primary driving force of this project is to protect the health, safety and long-term utility reliability of our community by addressing critical underground utility repairs and long-standing roadway conditions.
To minimize future disruptions for residents and maximize taxpayer cost efficiency, we are combining multiple major upgrades into a single, coordinated effort:
🏗️ Critical Utility Upgrades: Restoring a major sewer pipeline and a critical reclaimed water pipeline to safeguard our community's infrastructure.
🛣️ Roadway Reconstruction: Fully rebuilding the street surface to deliver a smoother, safer drive and permanently eliminate recurring pothole and pavement issues.
By tackling both surface transportation and underground infrastructure simultaneously, we ensure that we only have to dig up the roadway once, avoiding future excavation costs and repeated traffic disruptions down the line.
