I find that many people have misconceptions about buying a home, so they end up renting for as much or more than their mortgage would be. Here are some things a lot of folks don't know: You don't need 20% down. You don't have to have a credit score over 700. Bankruptcy does not disqualify you from buying a home for the rest of your life. If you owned a home before. You can still be a first time home buyer if you haven't paid mortgage in more than 3 years!
