With summer officially over and all the changes of the last few months—loved ones we’ve lost, new life that has come into our lives, graduations, birthdays quinceañeras, Jazmin/Amanda relocating to Atlanta, Tabitha and Conner leaving the Mayo Clinic to start a new life in Wisconsin, and what has felt like being spoiled by my never-ending birthday celebration—I can’t help but count my blessings for all the love in our lives.
Lately I have started a lot of conversations with “Tell me something good about your life today.” Because of this we’ve bonded and had some amazing conversation with complete strangers and have heard so many inspiring answers: from “My mom beat cancer today” to things as simple as “I’m healthy, alive, and I have a job.”
So the “good in my life” today is the genuine love and support system we’ve created within my new relationship, our family and friends (now more like family). We were blessed to spend a lot of time with them over the summer and make some amazing memories.
So now you tell us: “What’s good about your life today?”
