Important Dates for Delinquent 2024 County Property Taxes:

-If paid in full on or before July 11th at the Clerk's Office, you can prevent your name from being published in the paper.

-The Delinquent Tax Sale is August 28th. All unpaid 2024 property tax bills will be offered for sale. Pay your delinquent bill in full on or before August 27th to prevent a third party purchaser from buying your delinquent tax bill. Third party purchasers add significant fees to what is already owed and utilize all enforcement remedies, including foreclosure.

-Deadline to enter into a Payment Plan with our office is August 25th. Call Melanie (270-631-0000, option 4) to see if you qualify. If an agreement is entered, we can protect your bill from being sold while you make payments.

Q: Where do I pay my on delinquent tax bills?
A: It depends...
-If you are paying a bill in full, pay at the County Clerk's Office (in person, over the phone, or by mail). Call the Clerk's Office for an updated payoff amount and more information on payment methods.
-If you are making a payment pursuant to an approved payment plan, make your payment at the County Attorney's Office (in person or by mail). Call Melanie in the Delinquent Tax Division if you have any questions.
