Three Austin-based brokers join Zillow’s ‘Pro for Brokers’
Announcement of firms' enrollment comes a month after MLS stopped feeding listings to portal
Just over a month after their local association stopped sending listings to Zillow, three Austin, Texas-based brokerages have begun feeding their listings to the portal themselves.
JB Goodwin Realtors, Re/Max Capital City and Turnquist Partners Realtors have joined more than other 1,000 brokers in signing up for Zillow “Pro for Brokers.” The program rewards brokers for sending their listings to Zillow with a logo, linkback and prominent placement of their listings agents’ contact information on the property detail pages of the listings the brokers represent.
JB Goodwin Realtors has taken the step to be pro-consumer for our sellers and landlords by making sure their properties are on the most visited real estate site in the U.S. - Zillow,” said Buddy Schilling, president of JB Goodwin Realtors.
Zillow’s announcement of the brokers’ enrollment in the program comes about a month after the Austin Board of Realtors (ABoR) stopped feeding its members’ listings to listing portals through the syndicator ListHub. The association pulled the plug on listing portals because the sites’ allegedly inaccurate data was setting “false expectations for consumers that inhibit their ability to make sound real estate decisions.”
