It doesn’t get much better than this! What a glorious view!

Just around the corner, exciting progress continues at Washburn Marina and Morse Park as we move closer to fully reopening the lake. Crews are hard at work rebuilding the stationary marina docks, floating boardwalk, and boat slips, while also installing a new marine fuel pump for public use. The public boat ramp remains temporarily closed during this phase.

To help welcome visitors back as soon as possible, a temporary Marina Building will be installed to support guests and manage boat tours while plans for a permanent facility move forward.

Meanwhile, shoreline restoration is well underway. Crews have already removed more than 7,000 cubic yards of debris, with cleanup expected to continue for a few more weeks as we work toward a fully restored lake environment.

Lake Lure is currently in Phase One - a “Soft Opening”, allowing the public to enjoy the lake while these final improvements are completed. We’re grateful for your patience and continued support as we take these important final steps.
