Myth: "That popping and rumbling from the water heater is just normal noise."
Not quite. That sound is usually sediment, minerals from our Middle Tennessee water that settle on the bottom of the tank. Water gets trapped under that layer, boils, and pops. It means the burner or element is working harder than it should, you're paying more to heat water, and the tank is wearing out faster.
The fix is often just a flush. Most tank heaters should be drained and flushed about once a year, and fall is a great time before winter showers start running long and hot. If your heater is 10+ years old and loud, it's worth having someone take a look before it quits on a cold morning. We give upfront, flat-rate pricing, so you know the cost before we start.
