Today isn't about a sale, a day off, or the unofficial start of summer.

It's about names. Real ones. Men and women who had families, dreams, and futures they never got to finish. They gave everything so the rest of us could keep going.

Jesus said it best: “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)

Every man and woman we remember today lived that verse out loud. Not as a metaphor. For real people, on real ground, making the ultimate sacrifice for people they would never even meet.

I’m proud to be an American. Not because we’re perfect, but because this country is worth fighting for. The proof of that is written in the lives of every service member who decided it was worth dying for.

To every veteran, every Gold Star family, every spouse who held things together during deployments, and every child who grew up with an empty chair at the table... you are seen today.

Thank you will never fully cover it, but I mean it with everything in me.

In between the cookouts, the lake days, and the long weekend, take a moment to remember why we get to enjoy all of it.

God bless the fallen. God bless their families. And God bless the United States of America.

Your job is so much more than lesson plans and homework. You help encourage, guide, support, teach, comfort, and shape these kiddos during such important years of their lives. As parents, we know how much trust we place in the people who spend so many hours with our children each day, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

We were thankful to provide lunch from McAlister's Deli today as just a small way to show our appreciation for the huge impact you make. Thank you for loving on our kids and helping them learn and grow. 🍎✨
