Let's begin with a very basic update. At the last annual meeting there was a significant lack of homeowner participation. There were not enough people, or even proxies to have a majority vote. A majority was needed to make necessary changes to the bylaws. One of which is a change to the number that constitutes a quorum (circle back to lack of participation). Current board members put notices on doors of on-site owners about the meeting. At least four people who LIVE here chose not to attend, or even fill out a proxy. The rest are absentee homeowners. Phone calls and letters were sent to off site homeowners. Short of providing limo service to get them to the meeting, what else could have been done? I challenge anyone who wants to be a part of change to first, attend meetings and voice your concerns; next, volunteer to be on the board. I can attest its not fun. I'll step aside and let someone finish out my last year as a board member.
