My professional career began over 40 years ago as a commercial loan officer in the Metropolitan Division of Irving Trust Company at 1 Wall Street in New York City. After earning a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1976, I began an 18-year career as a financial executive, gaining extensive experience in fundraising, acquisitions, divesti
tures, operating management, and strategic planning for a $2+ billion diversified NYSE corporation. I subsequently moved to southern California, where I helped found and grow two venture-backed startups, before moving back to North Carolina in 2006. I was contacted in the summer of 2017 and asked to join Highlands/Sotheby’s International Realty on the “Plateau,” bringing with me transactional experience as an investment banker with the McLean Group, LLC and other firms. I obtained my real estate license in January 2018 and worked for Sotheby’s until they closed the Cashiers, NC office in December 2019. I then joined Landmark Realty in their Sapphire/Lake Toxaway office and recorded sales valued at $985,000 in two transactions in 2020, prior to joining Beverly-Hanks in late July 2020.
