What an incredible week in our nation's capital!

Members of Women's Council of REALTORS® Virginia, including leaders from our Richmond Network, traveled to Washington, DC for the 2026 Women's Council of REALTORS® Midyear Meeting. The conference brought together members from across the country for several days of leadership development, professional growth, networking, and inspiration. Attendees participated in educational sessions, leadership training, networking events, regional caucuses, and discussions focused on advancing women as business leaders in the real estate industry.

We are especially proud of our own Kate Kelley, Richmond Network Events Director, who served as the 2026 Ambassador Chairperson. Kate led an outstanding team of ambassadors who helped attendees feel welcome, navigate the conference, connect with fellow members, and enjoy an exceptional conference experience from start to finish.

One of the greatest benefits of Women's Council is the opportunity to build relationships beyond our local market, and this conference delivered exactly that. From networking with members across the country to sharing ideas, best practices, and leadership experiences, attendees returned home energized, inspired, and ready to put new ideas into action.

Thank you to everyone who represented Virginia and Richmond so well. The future is bright when leaders come together to learn, connect, and grow!

What a wonderful afternoon of connection, conversation, and learning!

On June 12, the Women's Council of REALTORS® Richmond Network welcomed members, strategic partners, and guests to our Unlocking New Connections New Member Orientation. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces alongside new members and prospective members who wanted to learn more about our organization and the value of membership.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was hearing experienced members share their lessons learned, best practices, and REALTOR® wisdom with those newer to the industry. Those candid conversations and real-world insights are exactly what make Women's Council such a valuable network.

A special thank you to Sonya Saunders and Eastwood Homes for sponsoring and hosting us at the beautiful Hampton Ridge Model Home. The setting was the perfect backdrop for building relationships, sharing ideas, and creating new connections.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Whether you've been a member for years or are just discovering Women's Council, we're excited to continue growing, learning, and succeeding together.

Phenomenal. Moving. Insightful. Candid.

Those were just a few of the words attendees used to describe our Champions & Changemakers panel hosted by Women’s Council of REALTORS® Richmond.

We were honored to bring together local leaders who are making a real impact throughout our community and reminding us that leadership in this industry goes far beyond the transaction.

Thank you to our panelists, moderator, attendees, and everyone who helped make this event such a success. We’re excited to continue creating conversations that inspire connection, purpose, and positive change.

Thank you to our members and everyone who joined us on Thursday, April 23, for our fair housing training event - Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing. Women's Council Richmond partnered with Richmond Association of REALTORS to bring this free training to all RAR members.

Special thank you to our instructor, Keith Smith, who engaged us in thought provoking conversations about bias and stereotypes, and provided us with strategies and tools we can use to combat these challenges in our day-to-day business practices. And of course, we have to give a big shout out to the RAR staff for their hospitality and engagement at this event...plus the breakfast and wonderful lunch they provided to all attendees. It was a great event!
