If you’re making the drive up the shore, a pie stop is practically a tradition. Both Rustic Inn Cafe and Betty’s Pies are North Shore favorites that have been drawing visitors for years.

Something a little different along the North Shore 🖤

Black Beach is one of those places that almost doesn’t feel real. Known for its dark volcanic-looking sand, rugged shoreline, and stunning views of Lake Superior, it’s such a unique stop if you’re exploring the area. The contrast of the black sand against the blue water makes it especially beautiful on sunny days, and the sound of the waves crashing along the shore is so peaceful.

It’s only about a 35 minute drive from Two Harbors, making it an easy little adventure while staying at Hip Nautic or The Sly Fox. Whether you stop for a quick walk, photos, or just to sit and take in the lake views, it’s definitely one of the coolest hidden gems on the North Shore.
