🔥It is so hard to believe I have been out of this world coming up on a year in December.
There is a bond so unlike any other that resonates in the fire service.
🖤One that truly runs deeper than most can comprehend.
One where you are genuinely and sincerely prepared to sacrifice your life for another.
🙏22 years ago firefighters gave that ultimate sacrifice. So others could live.
We see videos of masses of people running from the World Trade Center and its destruction.
👨🚒While firefighters ran towards it.
The level of bravery that takes is something most of us will never experience.
Knowing as they ran towards the destruction that there was a chance they would never return home to their families.
Never see their kids again.
Please take a moment of silence today to honor those incredible heroes.
🔥And the heroes that continue to show the same bravery everyday our communities.
