Another gas leak found during today’s inspection. 👃⚠️

So this was a pretty interesting find considering we were just here to take some mold samples. We ended up doing a thermal pass, which led us to find this active leak. An infrared camera will pick up the temperature difference, which leads us to prove it’s moisture by using a moisture meter. 💧

Although we aren’t termite inspectors, we thought this was a pretty neat find.

During this inspection, I noticed the smell of natural gas near the gas meter. I applied some soapy water and the bubbling began.

This is a good reminder that even small leaks should be taken seriously. If you ever smell gas, leave the area if necessary, avoid creating sparks or flames, and contact your gas utility or a qualified professional immediately!

Inspector Gabriel tested the kitchen drainage assembly and this is what I caught from the exterior side. No, the inspection didn’t cause it. This was a pre-existing defect.
