My boys have been wanting to join my morning walks—complete with hats and walking sticks like Dad. I’ve been walking the woods 5–6 days a week for the past three years, usually at a pretty quick pace for exercise. They had to wait until they could hold their own and keep up before they could join the morning walk.

I love watching Joe take the lead. There’s some bravery in leading the pack through the woods.
