From there, Sarah attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC where she made the Dean's List and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She double majored in Human & Mass Communication and minored in Sociology. Sarah co-chaired the Big Sis/ Lil' Sis Program, organized numerous events and served on several committees. At graduation, Sarah was surprised and recognized with the "Service & Dedication" Award, an award voted on by her peers for her service and dedication to her class throughout their 4 years together. After college, Sarah jumped into a management career in Charlotte, NC at an Assisted Living Facility where she helped oversee everyday function of the facility and its residents. That job led to a position at the company's Corporate Office located back home in Hickory, NC where she was responsible for corporate event planning and marketing for all of the company's assisted living facility locations throughout North Carolina. In 2009, Sarah obtained her real estate license after a nudge from her mother, Judy Stansfield, a top producing agent at Coldwell Banker Boyd & Hassell. Sarah is proud to say that she was trained by the best in the business! After 15 years in the business, Sarah has proven to be a successful, seasoned agent. She treats every client with the same respect and attention, whether they are selling a $5,000 vacant lot or a $1,000,000+ lakefront estate. She has an eye for renovation. She has designed and overseen numerous projects at her personal homes. Her most significant project was the renovation of a 1930's home located in the heart of Oakwood, near downtown Hickory that was close to demolition. She worked tirelessly to bring it back to life and made the community very happy in the end! Often, people can only see something for what it is in the moment, but not the potential of what it could be. With this experience under her belt, Sarah frequently makes suggestions to her clients and paints a picture of what a property "could be." She helps her clients make decisions that will increase their property value and give them a greater turn on their investments. In a world where good help is hard to find, Sarah happily shares her inspector and contractor contacts with her clients. While Sarah has a true passion for real estate, she feels that her greatest achievement in life is her family. There is nothing she is more proud of than her husband and her sweet son. In her down time, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, volunteering at her son's school, traveling, art, listening to music, home renovation projects and attending dance fitness classes & burn boot camp.
