As a follow-up to my previous post… sometimes happiness lies in the not-so-small details.

💪🏻 Like choosing 5/8” sheathing over the more commonly used 7/16”—adding serious sheer strength to the structure.
🔨 Or framing the exterior walls with 2x6s instead of 2x4s. That not only makes for a more robust build, but also allows for deeper insulation, improving the R-value and energy efficiency.
🌪️ And yes, this home will include a safe room—because Texas tornadoes are real, and this house is built to stand up to them.

We have a roof and paint on the outside. Then on the inside we have mechanical, electrical, and plumbing completed. Soon there will be rock and brick on the exterior and sheetrock on the interior. This house is moving along nicely!
