— A living legend whose presence you could feel before he even spoke. The last time I saw him, we talked about North Carolina A&T, affordable housing, city grants, community building, and a whole plethora of ideas that showed just how sharp, passionate, and purposeful he remained. He didn’t just talk about change — he truly lived it.
He carried history, wisdom, and hope in his voice, and I’ll never forget how intentional he was about uplifting others and reminding everyone that our work must always serve the people. That conversation will forever be a moment I cherish. 🩷
My deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and everyone whose life he touched — which is truly the world. Reverend Jackson was a giant, a trailblazer, and a servant leader whose legacy will echo for generations.
