Make sure the water is circulating through your pipes in this weather!!! Very important. This morning’s property owner is not a happy one. Water damage happens quickly!!! If you have a wood stove or a heat pump make sure the water in the home is moving. Make sure the basement has a little heat. Bathrooms on exterior walls are very important to pay attention to. 💦💦💧

Be ready and prepared this week!! ❄️ Freezing temperatures. If you have a wood stove, heat pump or a pellet stove make sure you are turning on your boiler once in a while. Heat the basement. Make sure hose hoses are disconnected from outside spickets. Trickle the water in your faucets in older homes with little insulation. Pipes will freeze!!! It’s cheaper to run your heat for a few days then to have the plumber come out on an emergency call and fix pipes and the other damage caused. Fill up your gas cans for your generator. Test run your generator!

With all of the wind , humidity and storms lately we have been dealt with lots of tree cleanup and damage and wet basements. Let’s hope the rest of the summer takes a chill pill. Luckily 2 houses we manage have water sensors installed. 💦💦
