BEWARE OF SCAMS OUT THERE! Consult your local REALTOR!
I have seen several homes and some of my listings reported as "for rent" with a ridiculous rental amount. Of course after getting several phone calls, and denying the house is for sale or for rent. I looked into it further.
It is mostly done by text where the "owners" will tell you they are out of town and you should send a check for a down payment. They give every reason as to why you should send the money, including "ignore the realtor sign, she hasn't taken it down yet!" DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS! NEVER SEND A CHECK!

Good Morning Pam:
The treasury market took another hit yesterday, including the 10-year closing +3 bps to 2.12 percent following a stronger than expected economic release in the form of June Retail Sales, a recent trend that has seemingly diminished the prospect of a 50-bps rate cut at the July 30-31 FOMC meeting. Despite the largest Year over year decline in June import prices in three years, President Trump saying we have a "long way to go" with China on trade (claiming he still has the option to impose tariffs on $325 billion worth of Chinese goods), and dovish-minded remarks from Fed Chair Powell and Chicago Fed President Evans in which both said the Fed will act as appropriate to sustain expansion Treasuries seemed to be propelled in slinky-like fashion as they rebounded from recent overselling. Housing starts were -.9% and building permits for June were -6.1%.

With that being said rates have inched up slightly. . I have listed a sampling of mortgage rates below. However, each situation depends on actual credit, income and the specifics of the loan scenario.
