Daily Brief: The courage to make it right.

Today is Yom Kippur. The Holiest of days for the Jewish faith.

But many confuse it with a sad day, only because it is called “the Day of Atonement”.

For me it is something different.

Yom Kippur is a day of accountability.

Not guilt. Not shame. Accountability.

There is strength in being able to look back at our actions and ask: Where did I fall short? Who did I hurt? What could I have done better?

Warriors conduct after-action reviews for a reason. We don't examine the past so we can live there. We examine it so we can perform better the next time.

The same principle applies to life.

Own the mistake. Make amends where you can. Learn the lesson. Then move forward better than you were before.

There is no weakness in admitting you were wrong.

Sometimes, it takes far more courage than insisting you were right.
