When I prepare a home for market, I’m not looking for ways to simply add more décor or make unnecessary changes. I’m looking at what the buyer will notice, what may distract them, and what can make the home feel more intentional from the moment they arrive.

Good preparation isn’t about doing more.
It’s about making the right decisions before the home goes to market.

Don’t use the first week on market to finish preparing. Use it to sell.

The first days after a home goes live are when the listing is new, buyers are discovering it and agents are beginning to share it with their clients.

That is not the time to still be working through photography, showing logistics, presentation issues or basic property information.

Those decisions should happen before launch whenever possible.

A strong start doesn’t guarantee a result.

But it does make sure you’re not wasting your best early opportunity fixing things that could have been handled before the listing ever went live.

Prepare first. Launch with purpose.
