Village Hall has issued Solicitor’s Permits to multiple individuals from SunSent Solar to go door-to-door selling Solar Panel Installation. They can only solicit between 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. These solicitors have been verified by the New Baden Police Department.
Just a few facts:
* This company is not affiliated with Ameren Illinois. If they tell you they are with Ameren, that is falsely representing who they are. Please contact the New Baden Police Department, 618-588-7741.
* You are not required to provide personal information.
As a reminder: whenever someone comes to your door, ask to see their solicitors permit before discussing anything with them. The Village of New Baden issues very few permits (most companies try to avoid them). Attached is an example the Village's Solicitor’s License. They are always yellow in color and will have my signature on them.
Anytime someone comes to your door and you have an issue or a concern about them, please call the Police Department, 618-588-7741, IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait for a more convenient time as the solicitor could possibly move on from the area. Solicitation hours are only from 10am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. No solicitation is allowed on Sundays or Holidays.

You can also post a sign on your door that states "ONLY REGISTERED SOLICITORS INVITED" OR "NO SOLICITORS INVITED"
