Denver is losing residents — but they aren't necessarily leaving Colorado.

They're moving farther out.

Weld County added more than 8,600 residents from 2024 to 2025. Douglas added 7,180, and Adams added roughly 5,400.

Housing costs are changing where buyers can make the numbers work, and new construction is following that demand.
